One thing I love about GEICO, when they hit gold with a commercial campaign, they don't let up. The camel from GEICO's "Hump Day" commercials is going to be popping up again soon...
Now if only they would get rid of the creepy, talking pig - that would be nice.
The three things that are popular on facebook and twitter this week are:
1) The Government Shutdown. (Funny how many constitutional scholars and congressional law experts pop up)
2) Everything PUMPKIN SPICE! (oh how we love our favorite fall food flavor here in teh 518)
3)How much the Giants, Jets, and Yankees stink.
It's funny because I wonder how many friends were cut this week over #1 and #3! As far as the pumpkin spice, here's a photo I snapped of a friend's lunch yesterday...
It seems like ten years ago that "Tom" was relevant or so it seems. With the "re-launch" of myspace (yes, the MySpace) I feel like I need to borrow the "MySpace for Dummies" book. Oh, the annoying GIFs and videos that slowed down the page load time. The hideous background images! And don't forget the "friends" who could clutter your page with their photos.
Wait, that doesn't exist anymore?
Since Justin Timberlake bought Myspace for $35 million in 2011, the social network has changed from walls to "Specific Media," part of the restage that also includes slick design and the ability to include people, music, and pop culture in the network. The new site looks NOTHING like the old one. Content is streamed now in a more modern layout that clean, simple, kind of like iTunes new look with Apple's iOS 7.
The new Myspace is completely focused on owning the music crowd. Established artists as well as up and coming acts can easily post and share their music. The media bar at the bottom of the page clearly captures "music" fans, prompting you to sign in to listen to music. Music is what kept Myspace in business until Justin Timberlake dropped $35 million to buy the site. The BIG question now is: do you remember your old username and password (or will you go dig it up) to log in, again?
AMC's "Breaking Bad" is over, so what better way to cap off the series than to put a for sale sign on Walter White's Albuquerque home? Check out this fake Craigslist post advertising Walter's home in New Mexico!

The new space movie, "Gravity," is about an astronaut (Sandra Bullock) who gets lost in space. The movie has been shot in a way that allows you to experience that terror through her characters' perspective. The trailer shows Sandra floating in outer space with her co-star George Clooney.
While the movie may not be getting the hype the movie studio hoped for, the website promoting the film is…

Everyone has a measure to determine when it's fall. For most of us, it's when the leaves change color. The drive to work on the Northway starts to become more scenic and we don't mind sitting between exit 9 and 8 for ten minutes sipping our coffee as our minds get lost in autumn in New York. Evenings start to become cooler and the sun sets sooner - the kids practices start ending sooner too! Or maybe the giveaway is the "Pumpkin" flavor or scent that starts appearing in everything we eat or drink.
For me, it's when the "low tire pressure" light turns on in my Honda Accord. It turns on the the first "chilly" fall morning and will stay lit up until the giant iceburg that forms in the mall parking lot completely melts in late spring.
What's your "first sign of Fall?"

Women who are into football are awesome. Women who sport their favorite team's apparel are even MORE amazing. If you've seen this commercial during Thursday, Sunday, and Monday's games… you've probably wondered the same thing:
Who's the guy giving the halftime speech? If you guessed Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh, you're 100% correct!

AMC will produce a "Walking Dead" spin-off in 2015. The fourth season starts in less than a month (Oct 13th) and is one of the MOST watched shows on cable TV.
As far as the new series plot, storyline, or characters… AMC isn't saying more than "a spin-off" is coming. There is no working title, only that the writers and producers are on-board for a series that isn't connected to the show or the comic book.
It didn't take long for the parodies of Geico's "Hump Day" commercial to hit the net. Here's the funniest one I've sent his week staring the Dallas Mavericks center Dirk Nowitzki…
