Now that Twinkies are coming back this summer, there are four other brands from our childhood that could also make a comeback.

Sizzler
Remember when this was the place to go to for dinner? After filing for bankruptcy protection in 1996, Sizzler is making a bit of a comeback under new management. There are currently 170 Sizzlers around the country now.

Polaroid
"Shake it like a Polaroid picture!" Probably the most iconic memory for anyone who grew up after 1963 and before the first George Bush took office will never forget the instant camera that defined a generation of pictures. When digital cameras started rolling out, the death sentence was issued for Polaroid. Now artists use the cameras for inspiration and apps like Instagram keep the nostalgia of the style alive. In 2008, 10 former Polaroid employees saved the last Polaroid production plant in the Netherlands and started to invent and produce new instant film materials for  the iconic cameras. In the process, the company saved 300 million Polaroid cameras from becoming extinct.

Lego
Some would argue that Lego's were the most popular toy in the 1980s. Mothers everywhere would agree that they sucked up more of the little pieces with their vacuums than what they're kids played with. After taking a nose dive in the late 90s, Lego's made a comeback tying in with movies and pop culture from the early 2000s. Now the toys are enjoying a healthy comeback and the same kids who left them all over the floor are now parents, sucking the pieces up with their vacuums!

Bennigan's
We used to have one here in the 518. It was an interesting idea to have a franchise themed around a real Irish pub. In 2008, Bennigan's filed for Chapter 7 and they closed all 150 locations, including ours in Latham. Today, Bennigan's is starting to comeback with 85 restaurants around the world.
