IF YOUR KID SAYS SNAPCHAT IS PRIVATE, THEY'RE WRONG _ Smartphone users -- especially kids, teens, and twenty-somethings -- have taken a liking to SnapChap. The app provides "real time picture chatting" that's supposedly super-private, since the sender of the photos and messages chooses and expiration time, say 10 minutes. Once the time elapses the chat session and photo vanish forever. Sounds private, right? Not so. The guys at the tech website Mashable remind us the recipient can take a screenshot or can simply use another smartphone or camera to capture a screenshot of the image.
THE HASHTAG'S COMING TO FACEBOOK _ Facebook is working on incorporating the hashtag, a symbol long-associated with Twitter.
THE LATEST TEEN PRANK IS 'GALLON SMASHING' _ The Internet prank known as "gallon smashing" has gone viral. In videos seen online, gallon smashers -- typically male teens -- grab two one-gallon jugs of milk and throw them on the floor as they fall to the floor. Of course, destruction of property is a crime, so think before you gallon smash.
WACKY-BUT-TRUE: FOOT-FEELER NABBED _ The cops have nabbed a suspected foot-feeler in Japan. One of the man's victim's said the man approached her in a store, asked about her shoes, and then started massaging her feet. Police had received several foot-massaging complaints in the past month.
