How To View the Solar Eclipse Safely

It's here! The Solar Eclipse is finally happening and in the Capital Region the coverage will be 96.9 percent! The temptation to look up without proper eyewear will be great, so here is a little guide.

According to the American Astronomical Society your glasses should have a certain code.

If you want to make a viewer yourself, CNN has the skinny on home-made pinhole viewers.

The eclipse stars at 2:12p and ends at 4:36p with the peek at 3:26p.
