You can get paid to taste Chocolate!

Melting Chocolate

It sounds amazing, doesn't it? Being paid to taste chocolate!!?? Well, it is true - but dare I say...proceed with caution. More on that in a moment. But here's the deal: The chocolate making company Cadbury is looking for chocolate tasters at the rate of $14 per hour. The lucky (or as I will explain, not so lucky) hire will be a part of a 12-person team will be giving their opinions on brands like Oreo and Milk. How's that sound? If you want to try, you can apply here. And now, my word of caution...bear in mind, this is coming from a NON-Chocolate lover - so I feel that gives me a reasonable perspective on this. Imagine if your JOB was to taste chocolate. All day. For 7 hours a day as suggested in their application. It might sound heavenly. But after a few hours, your taste buds start to blend the chocolate tastes together..then soon, it all tastes the same...and suddenly it loses the great sensation you get when you pop a piece of chocolate in your mouth. And then...suddenly...you no longer even WANT it! Years ago, when the world was first introduced to Cookie Dough Ice Cream, I was in total heaven. I had so much cookie dough ice cream, I reached a point of no return. I began to DISLIKE it!! How can this be? It's cookie dough! And yet, I had TOO MUCH and longer even want what I once loved. Henceforth, you've been warned. Is $14 an hour worth your love of chocolate? -Kevin
