A North Greenbush man is charged with attempted murder for stabbing his wife at their home on Kent Place, according to North Greenbush Police. She is being treated at Albany Medical Center, taken there by North Greenbush Ambulance.

Police say Joseph Adamo, Jr., 41, was found in the driveway. He’s charged with Attempted Murder (2nd Degree), Assault (1st Degree) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon (4th Degree). Adamo was arraigned by Judge Stephanie Piel. He was sent to the Rensselaer County jail without bail.

“The investigation is continuing as Investigators continue to follow up on leads,” said NGPD Chief Robert Durivage in a statement. “Anyone with information relating to any of Mr. Adamo’s activities or events at the residence [is] encouraged to contact North Greenbush Police at 283-5323.”

The North Greenbush P.D. was assisted by the New York State Police and Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office.
